AMD Sapphire OGA Dota Pit EU/CIS Returns On September 20
One Game Agency, one of the biggest online esports tournament organizers this year, will host another Dota 2 competition featuring teams from Europe and the CIS region. AMD Sapphire OGA Dota Pit EU/CIS: Season 3 will take place online from September 20 to 26.
The competition features six sponsors. The title sponsors are global semiconductor company AMD and Hong Kong-based technology company Sapphire Technology, while Tik Tok, HyperX, AOC, and Betway have been named as official sponsors. AMD Sapphire OGA Dota Pit EU/CIS: Season 3 is available for global streaming through the Chinese streaming platform DouYu.
National travel restrictions from both regions will affect the format and number of participants, but One Game Agency is determined to invite the best teams of the year and crown another champion in an online tournament. Here are the full details of the competition:
A total of 8 teams will fight for the title and the lion’s share of the $170,000 USD prize pool this season. 6 of these teams will first compete in the closed-qualifier to meet the invited teams in the group stage. More than that, the tournament is set to hit the Bitcoin Dota 2 betting odds market, so stay tuned for that.
The dominating teams from the group stage fight for a spot in the tournament’s main bracket and the grand finals through a double-elimination bracket. All matches are in BO3, while the grand finals are in BO5.
The majority of the competing EU and CIS teams are directly invited by One Game Agency. The invites are based on the teams’ previous performances this year. The two remaining teams will come from the ongoing qualifiers.
Team Nigma and Alliance, the winner and first-runner up from the second season of the competition, return as invited teams.
