WePlay! Extends Pushka League To Division 2

WePlay! Extends Pushka League To Division 2

Due to the success of its previous online tournaments and the warm reception towards Pushka League, WePlay! announces Pushka League Division 2, the continuation of the franchise featuring CIS and European teams. The tournament kicks off on April 16.

Qualification Details

Division 2 introduces 8 teams from Europe and CIS. Each region has 4 representatives. Division 2 coincides with Division 1, so all its participants will join the 14 original teams on the main event provided that they satisfy the following conditions:

  • The participants of WePlay! Pushka League Closed Qualifiers who fail to enter Division 1
  • The winners of WePlay! Pushka League Division 2 Regional Open Qualifiers

Amateur and professional teams who wish to compete can register on WePlay!’s official website. Each region has its own registration page and 256 slots to be filled. The regional open qualifiers for Division 2 will take place on April 18 for the CIS region and on April 19 for the European region. All participants will play between April 23 to May 11 to settle the winner. The matches will be streamed by WePlay! Esports studio.

Tournament Format

Division 2 will follow two stages: group stage and playoffs. The group stage sees two regional groups compete in a series of BO3 round-robin matches. The group winners are seeded in the playoffs semifinals, while the third place and runner-ups are seeded into the playoffs quarterfinals.

In the playoffs, the remaining teams compete in a single-elimination bracket with BO3 matches. A single loss automatically means elimination. The bracket has to ensure that each region has one representative in the finals. In the grand final, the official winner earns the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool. However, both the winner and the runner-up of Division 2 secures a spot in Division 1 next season. As this tournament was welcomed with open arms by both the Dota 2 Bitcoin betting community and esports fans alike, we can expect more action-packed tournaments coming our way in the future.

Prize Pool Distribution

The main event in Division 1 features a $250,000 prize pool. WePlay! Pushka League Division 2, meanwhile, has a prize pool worth $5,000. The prize pool distribution is as follows:

1st place: $2,000
